The 2026 World New Energy and New Materials Conference was held at the Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in northern China from October 12 to 14. CHN Energy returned for the third time to this major industry event.

Organized by the Ordos Municipal People's Government, the conference was themed "Synergistic Collaboration, Complementary Energy: Co-creating a New Global Energy Ecosystem". It focused on five major industrial chains—wind, solar, hydrogen, energy storage and new energy vehicles—as well as coal-based new materials. The event showcased cutting-edge technologies and innovations in silicon-carbon anodes, long-duration energy storage, zero-carbon industrial parks and smart grids.
CHN Energy's exhibition booth featured four sections, covering the Group overview, energy foundations, innovation breakthroughs and operations in Inner Mongolia. Together, they presented the Group's achievements in the high-quality development of its integrated coal, power, chemical and transportation industrial chain; its green and low-carbon transition; innovation in new energy and new materials; and the contributions of its Inner Mongolia-based subsidiaries to local development and economic growth.
Held concurrently with the expo, the 2026 World New Energy and New Materials Conference brought together more than 300 participating and exhibiting companies and over 8,000 industry representatives. Centered on the new national strategy for energy security, the conference reviewedand promoted experience in energy transition in northern China, advanced quality improvements and upgrades across the entire new energy and new materials industrial chains, and provided a specialized global platform for collaboration and practical cooperation among government, industry, academia, research institutions and end users.
